Searching for Sambar

Well after bagging myself a Snackpack sized Sambar on Tuesday afternoon and filling the freezer it is now time to go looking for that elusive Stag.

So I spent the day sitting in a hide overlooking a wallow deep in a steep gully, the Stag remains as elusive as ever. However I did see 3 Sambar hinds and managed a little bit of video of one.

I also saw a couple of Noisy Friar Birds,  they certainly are very strange looking creatures. Unfortunately they were too quick for me to photograph, but google them and see what I mean.

So the search for the Stag continues, I wonder what will turn up on the trail cameras when I retrieve them?
